Perfetto, utilissimo per un uso da “ufficio”;
la versione di Windows è in Inglese, ma il problema è facilmente risolvibile installando il Language Pack in Italiano.

For the price: really decent. No noticeable performance issues for my use.

I had been looking at minicomputers for some time. I have a MSI laptop that I had gotten to play games which was then what you needed for a VR system and then Meta Quest came along, so I never used it once for that. So my nice laptop with a high res screen & keyboard sits closed, connected to a monitor/keyboard most of the time. My MSI is far from new and has had some hardware failures. Two fans had to be replaced and somehow I managed to break the HDMI connector. Luckily the C connectors can be used with a bridge as an HDMI input. But given this, my MSI may be not long for this world, so I was wondering if a mini computer would suit me.

I know a minicomputer will be underpowered in comparison, so my boyfriend did some spec comparisons, to the MSI and his own HP laptop at CPUBenchmark.

This MiniPC is an Intel 100 (2023),
versus my MSI with an Intel Core i7-8750H (2018) and
my boyfriend's 1 year old HP laptop at Intel Core i7-1255U (2022).
I didn’t know what an Intel 100 was in comparison with the Core i7, but looking at the specs, there are things like Turbo speed, number of threads and Cache and you can pretty much see that this little computer is less than those other two.
CPU Mark: Higher results represent better performance
PELADN mini computer: 5619
HP i7-1255U: 13783
MSI: i7-8750H: 9941
While the HP is 3X, the MSI is 2X. However the question you might have does this matter?
I suspect if you are doing a lot of processing or games, yes, but if you are cruising online reading email, Facebook etc, watching videos; maybe not.

When you look at the CPU Mark/Price, that is where you see this unit shine. Clearly it blows the MSI out of the water as that is an expensive though old laptop, but the HP is blown away too.
CPU Mark/Price: Higher results represent better value
PELADN mini computer: 43.9
HP i7-1255U: 32.4
MSI: i7-8750H: 25.2

Of course this unit is also more power efficient, in that the monitor is not part of this profile, unlike the other two.

SETUP & VIRUS CHECK
My boyfriend recently had seen where someone had gotten a virus from a mini-computer and suggested that when we start this up, to use a guest network and not our normal Window’s sign in, so we took a roundabout way to get this unit going. I can say that so far, no viruses have been detected, using Windows defender, Avast and Malwarebytes.
We assumed wrongly that we needed USB connected devices so scared up an old keyboard and mouse that was not strictly Bluetooth. The start up took about 6 minutes once we had everything connected. It seemed long, but I’m comparing this to a fully setup computer. I had attached the USB mouse and keyboard while it was booting up, so it did not find them. Turning off the computer (power button) and turning it back on fixed that. My mistake.

We connected to our guest network and it checked for Windows updates. Once updates were done, a restart caused it not to connect and it took 3 tries before it did. Mind you, it dawned on me, we were fairly distant from the network connection, so that might have contributed.

Of course you have to have or create an MS account and sign in with it. We made a separate one. Much of the delay was being over cautious. There were a lot of settings: Privacy, Customization, Use phone from your PC, Games and then checking for updates again. I forgot how many things you go over when you have a new PC. Mind you some of it was shear marketing like the Games.

Then we did all the virus checks. Downloaded Chrome and we were good to go. This took a long time, as the scans checked everything. We got a clean bill of health, so likely will connect to our main network and logins.

TRIED IT OUT AND COMPARED IT FOR MY USES TO MY CURRENT LAPTOP:
I’ve tried it with some online videos and compared performance to my MSI. No difference. Mind you, this is just a video and not a sophisticated game.

At this point I have it on my desk, attached to my HDMI port on my monitor, my keyboard has 3 possible inputs at the push of a button and so does my mouse. All I have to do to switch from the MSI to the PELADN, it turn it on and the monitor self switched, and I push the buttons on my keyboard and mouse. Voila, different computer. Thinking how much work that used to be years ago, shows me how far technology has come.

For my purposes it is a very good deal.

Lots a bang for the buck.

Replaced a old dying Dell 20 lb. anchor under my desk running Windows 7.
Wowzers! W11 fired right up , no. prob with drivers for devices loading or anything! Like I'm in the 21st century, finally! Matched it up with an Amazon wireless keyboard and mouse, an Acer 19" screen, hold me down, bro!
All for under 200 bucks!

sehr gut

dieser Mini Pc hat was man zum surfen braucht. Er ist sehr schnell, was mich, da es ein Cerleron beinhaltet, sehr überrascht hat und das noch mit Win 11, was will man mehr
